Normal 2D display system can only save and record three-dimensional object without depth information, which is out of expection of people. Autostereoscopic display technology can redisplay the lost depth information. Combining the technology of optics, electronics and computer, Autostereoscopic display can present each viewer at least a pair of stereoscopic three-dimensional images, and help achieve three-dimensional display without special glasses.FPGA-based hardware circuit design for autostereoscopic display is presented in this paper. This paper includes the concept of FPGA and how to use FPGA to implement the control of pixel data by using SDRAM and complete hardware circuit design for autostereoscopic display finally. Two methods of hardware circuit design for autostereoscopic display have been introduced. One is hardware circuit design for autostereoscopic display with two channels and TTL signal. And another is hardware circuit design for autostereoscopic display with one channel and LVDS signal. There are four three-dimension display formats that were introduced in detail in this paper. And how to implement each three-dimension display format in the two hardware circuit designs for autostereoscopic is also illuminated.
