Embedded Network Terminal Based On MSP430

Ethernet and TCP/IP protocol that are used most widely now have become one of most common used network standard. This paper researches how to combine embedded system and Ethernet, implement TCP/IP protocol at embedded network terminal, remote control and data transfer through Ethernet LAN Controller. The system is based on modular design . It completes remote control and remote measure of embedded network terminal based on man-machine interface.The system is applied at the field of industrial control and 16-bit MSP430 is main controller. The main point of the research is how to properly reduce and implement TCP/IP protocol, implement MODBUS/TCP protocol at application layer of TCP/IP for industrial control. All works base on the actual demand and the resource characteristic of the MCU. The Client is PC software programmed with VC. It queries embedded network terminal that used as Server.
