A Study For Network And The Development Of Communication Programs In DCS

We analyze the structure and the main functions of the medium and small scale DCS,and introduce the research trend in domestic and overseas briefly. Especially, we elaborate thecourse of the development of communication procedures and the network simulation inDCS. The modules of communication procedure between the field control stations and theEngineer Stations mainly include the UDP and the DDE protocol. In this dissertation, we use"Send and Wait" mechanism to improve the reliability of UDP protocol. The data structureand pretreatment and the key course are also provided in the first module. The software isdeveloped with the tools of Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0. We introduce basic concept of thenetwork simulation and the popular simulation software--OPNET Modeler, and build themodel for DCS. Provided by the result of the simulation, the max amounts of workstation inthe DCS can be obtained. From the study of the DCS network, we laid a solid researchfoundation for following graduate students .
