Design And Implementation Of Workflow Enactment Service Based On Coloured Petri Nets

Workflow enactment service is the core of workflow management system, its de-velopment is directly associated with whether the workflow management system suc-ceeds or not. Therefore, design of workflow enactment service is a basic issue inworkflow field.This thesis deeply researches on technologies related with workflow enactmentservice, and brings forward a set of workflow enactment service design scheme basedon Coloured Petri Nets. The framework of the workflow enactment service followsWorkflow Reference Model of WfMC(Workflow Management Coalition), and the in-ner engine of the workflow enactment service follows theory of Coloured Petri Nets.Workflow enactment service of this thesis is illustrated by two parts: inner en-gines and components around engines. The thesis introduces main functions of com-ponents and invoking relations among them, and it emphasizes on the design of enginelogic(Firing rules of Coloured Petri Nets).The design scheme has been implemented and verified in workflow managementsystem(ColouredFlow) which is developed by School of Software, Tsinghua Univer-sity.
