The paper points out a method to automatic detect color of ceramic tile inthe background of Computer Vision Technology, and develop an experiment device.With the LED-light source illuminating, the device gathers the digital imageinformation of ceramic tile by DH-HV3000 photography machine. Then the computerprocess studies and analyses the information by using image processing and imageanalysis method.The paper introduces the image color, as well as its basic knowledge.Especially this part introduces color models and lists conversion relationship to RGBmodule. The paper also studies digital image processing arithmetic. Image divisionand image filter are the main knowledge. Image division is the basic problem ofimage processing and Computer Vision Technology. Image filter can eliminateconfusion of voices that come from inner and outer interference of image forming,transferring, incepting and processing. After experiment the paper offers appropriatearithmetic and applies them into the processing. Because of image sensor and goodillumination are the basis of Computer Vision Technology, so the paper introduces theprinciple of image sensor, as well as LED knowledge. The image sensor includesCCD and CMOS. The paper introduces their merits and demerits. In the paper theLED light source constitutes of 1128 LED. In order to make the light uniformity wedesign the LED array and driving circuit.In the design of experiment system, the photography machine can preciselycatch the digital image of ceramic tile is very important. So in the system opticalsensor is used to control the photography machine. When the ceramic tile comes intothe field vision of the photography machine, the optical sensor give a single to thecomputer machine that will send a digital single to photography machine. At last thephotography machine catches the image information exactly.HSI model resembles to human eyes that feel color, so in the paper HSImodel is used to analyze ceramic tile color. Considering I weight shows the light andshade of color, as well as S weight shows pure degree of color, the H weight showsthe variety of color. So H weight is the basis of analyzing the color of ceramic tile.Ultimately the paper offers the result of experiment.
