Reverse engineering is a intersection of many research field foreland and a sophisticated system engineering which integrate many advanced theories and technologies such as computer vision, computer measurement, control theory, digital image process and sensors. HRE-IA won satisfied effect as a successfully commercialized research production which is a laser scanning measure system based on dual vision.According to how to enhance the quality of gathered images, image process, three dimensional reconstruction, scattered points cloud process and CAD modeling based on feature, this thesis emphatically dissertated about a series of pivotal problems such as the selection of the device's hardware, the algorithm of image process, the principle of 3D reconstruction, process of scattered points cloud and modeling of general CAD model and so on.During gathering images, many factors are harmful for the image's quality. The preferences, features and selection criterions of each device's hardware is dissertated in the thesis such as lens, CCD vidicon and image gathering module card, it delivered pertinent references of the selection of hardware for the following technicians. At the same time, it also dissertated detailedly about the workflow of the dual-channel synchronic image gathering software system.As pivotal technologies, algorithms of image filtering, laser stripe thinning, and image matching etc. is dissertated in the thesis. Particularly, detailed demonstrations and experiment comparison of each algorithm of laser stripe thinning is also made-up, and the author deliver a rapid, efficient, high-precision algorithm of strip thinning, implement is also published at the same time.The applied pattern is absolutely necessarily for the application of the HRE-IA. Through practice, the author had sum-upped and delivered a well-rounded, feasible, rapid, convenient, high-precision after-process workflow of the 3D scattered points.
