Design And Implementation Of A Monitoring System Based On Wireless Sensors Network

It is needed to monitor long-distance environment, equipments or establishments in real time in many cases such as bridge health situation analysis, forest fire protection, equipment intelligent maintenance in enterprises, etc. In traditional monitoring system, a great deal of data from the sensors should be transmitted to the control center through conductor. It increases the installation cost, prolongs the installation periods and may reduce the reliability of the system. Wireless sensors network advanced in this paper is a novel technology of information acquisition and processing. Every sensors node has wireless communicating function, each sensor node measures the parameters around it, and transmits the data to the control center through wireless manner by the wireless network formed by the sensors nodes.This paper mainly introduces the design and implementation of the wireless sensors node and the realization of the wireless communication protocol. This system realize the short-distance communication of the sensors network choosing the manner of using MCU to control D100 and RFW102 radio frequency module (RFM), and uses CSMA protocol as wireless communication protocol. The MCU of the nodes is MSP430F149 ultra low energy SCM of TI Co., communication component is short -distance transceiver chip set, and the sensors are temperature sensor AD7416 and acceleration Sensor ADXL210. Currently, the node of the wireless sensors network uses batteries to supply energy, so the energy is limited, then how to save the energy of the wireless sensors network is the core issue in the hardware and software design of the network. And this paper discusses how to save the energy of the nodes.Testified by the practice, compared with the traditional monitoring system, the method of wireless sensors network system is cheaper, easier to install, lower cost of maintenance and update, and etc. Then it has very wide ranges of prospects for application, and become the foreland and hotspot field in the international.
