With the quickly development and widely application of communicationtechnology, communication network is gradually enlarging. The electromagneticinterference may have effects on information transmission. How to avoid theelectromagnetic interference between more then two equipment and to improve thequality of information transmission is the main point, which is concerned incommunication equipment Manufacture for a long time. However, communicationcabinets take a great part in electromagnetic interference shielding, not only solvingthe problems such as packaging, support, dustproof, waterproof, but also acting as akey role in the realization of electromagnetic interference shielding.With the need for work, and facing the complaint from USA users about rusting inCDMA Cabinet shielding area and antisepsis to Beijing C&W Technology CO., LTD(Switching Equipment Manufacturing Company), this paper describes integrated anddeep research on electromagnetic technology of communication cabinets, involvingprinciple for shielding, choice of shielding material, formation of cabinets shieldingcase, connected area shielding etc. The cause for the above-mentioned deficiency hasbeen found out through many test and testing, and then the plan for processimprovement has been proposed. Communication cabinets produced using improvedprocess meet the requirements by USA users.After studies the conclusions are as follows:(1) Connected area should bereasonably selected when the thickness of electric paint as to processing surface isdetermined;it is also proved that the thickness of electric paint is independent of theelectric performance through testing, while electric performance has relationship withthe density of electric grains only.(2) How to deal with the juncture between theelectric-lacquer of connected area and the layer of insulating-plastic has beenoptimized.(3) The problems such as partial rustiness, shielding capability descendingcomplained about by customer have been disposed.(4)The need for joint design ofelectromagnetic shielding, antisepsis and dustproof has been Considered.
