Network makes it possible for people to break the limits of space and time toreceive education and training. The future network teaching will be directed atstandardization and modularization. So it should meet the international and nationalnorms and criteria of net education, support the sharing of educational resources andsatisfy the demand of modern educational technology and teaching modes. Distance net teaching gives full play to the advantage of net education with theaid of internet, from which people could learn more knowledge in shorter time withless resource. As a result, the characteristics of education and the learningenvironment of net teaching should be combined, i.e. the teaching contents should begiven the first place, learners should be considered the focus and the activeconstructor of knowledge. At the same time, the key function of the assistant learningshould be highlighted.This thesis builds up the basic model of web browser and server (B/S) to designthe distance teaching system, creates the demand and analyse model with unifiedmodeling language (UML) .The class diagram is utilized to represent the static model.The sequential diagram is used to represent the dynamic model. In the design ofrelationship database, theE-R diagram and the relationship model are utilized to makerepresentation. Secondly, this thesis is based on constructionism, which stressed the importanceof learning process and provided adequate constructional circumstances and scences.And then the thesis discusses the method and procedures of making multi-mediaelectrotechnics courseware with Dreamweaver and Flash5. In the process, thetechnology of outline compression, pictures and words production, cascade model andlevel division are adopted to achieve interactive effect. Besides, various navigation ismade to make the courseware convenient for learners to use and operate. Finally, the web-generated technology and the recursive algorithm are utilized toconstruct database. Database is used to develop the sub-system for question answerand topic discussion. In order to check progressing rate of its learnars, an intelligentexam drawoff system is produced.In summary, during the course of the design and development, the information ofthe teacher, learner and courseware are woven into a complete and pragmatic distanceeducational system by the intergration of today,s available distance moderntechnology.
