Research And Implementation About The Network Communication Of Embedded Network Camera

The past few years, the video surveillance system was always usedfor security or monitoring in many fields, such as finance, commerce,traffic and community. With the development of the network technology,the video surveillance system is changing from an analog system to anetwork digital system. Network digital video surveillance system hasgreat anti-interference capacity and great stability and the system issimple to construct and easy to extend.This thesis is a part of the project-the Network Camera Based on theEmbedded Real-Time Operating System, which is funded by TianjinMunicipal Science and Technology Commission. The sockets communicationbetween VxWorks operating system on the Network Camera and the PC clientis accomplished. Programming and debugging that realize JPEG imagesreplay are finished. Based on the simple simulative server, functionssuch as different platform communication between the IP Camera and theclient and images browse are well accomplished. In the thesis, theembedded system and the video surveillance system and its developmentare introduced first. Then, some basic knowledge and concept aboutnetwork programming are introduced, and upon them, the construction andimplementation foundation of communication between different platformsare analyzed. In order to implement the transfers of image data throughnetwork, the sockets communication is adopt which is based on TCP/IPprotocol and is connection-oriented. And the sockets communicationprogram that is developed using class CSocket is introduced. In lastchapter, the development of visual c++ program of images browser onclient of network camera is introduced, including the creation offramework and multi-threads technology. Some experience and noticesduring software development are summarized as well.
