XAC, Xi'an Aircraft Company, its traditional management flow of production organization, qualityand technique ,can't adapt the demand of production ,great batch, variety kinds. Now, ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), CAPP (Computer Aided Processure Planning) is under testing throughout the coporation. And they bring along the developing and applying of management system of units. To set up FTS' MIS will standardize the source and flow direction of varieties information, and adaptly optimize the operating flow between or among the units. By this means, information accuracy and efficiency is available, and the operation efficiency can be improved greatly. There are much more database design tools , such as SyBase's PowerDesign, Works' Errwin, etc While developing FTS' MIS , Errwin is choosed as the database design tool.DBMS can be classified into two kinds—Relation Database Management System(RDBMS) and Object-Relation Database Management System (ORDBMS).As the most popular DBMS, RDBMS can be used for the most application. Of the RDBMS, Oracle,DB2,SQLServer,MySql have been used widely. Compared through the respects of opening, retractility, parallelism, safty, performence, operation ,etc, Oracle is choosed as the FTS' MIS DBMS.The structure of B/S three-layer, .NET operting system are adopted for the system.Browser/Server structure has much more distinct advantages. The standards of Browser/Server structure are opening and not special. So B/S is universal and computable with other operating system. B/S structure benefits the customer with lower developing cost and easier maintenance just for its simply usage and amity interface .The system structure, developing platform, safety mechanism is very useful for the other aircraft manufactories to develop their own information management system.
