Research Of Subscriber Authentication In Mobile Communication

There are two kinds of subscriber authentication technologies, the European numeral mobile communication system is based on the GSM09.02MAP agreement (the GSM system), the other one is based on the IS-41MAP agreement numeral mobile communication system (the CDMA system).The two corresponding subscriber authentication technologies are analyzed, compared in this thesis. And a proposal for user distinction used in China is put forward.The first part of this thesis introduces basic structures of the mobile communication networks, including network functional modules.network interfaces, network divisions and the physical distribution of network parts. Then the basic flow of mobile subscriber's calls, the GSM user's position renewal flow, the CDMA user's position renewal flow are analuzed in detail.Then, the thesis analyzes the use of subscriber authentication which is used in the broadest second generation of mobile communication system adopted the technology, including the GSM system and the CDMA system. The thesis has made the detailed analysis separately the warning power process, to various systems subscriber authentication basic principle, the terminology and the meaning, the distinction value computational method, the distinction classification and the use description has carried on the detailed elaboration. Afterwards, China Unicorn's GSM system and the CDMA system as the example, has made the description separately on the network operation in actual.Finally the comparison of the user authentications for two systems is made, and the advantages and disadvantages of these two systems are analyzed. A proposal for user authentication is presented.
