With the rapid development of Ethernet technology, the emergence and broad development prospect of the next generation network-IPv6, the application of remote monitoring for various instruments through Internet becomes more and more popular. So it is a hotspot of how to implement connecting to IPv6 network in embedded instruments.With the research background of intelligent flux instrument, this paper mainly introduces the research of connection to IPv6 network in embedded instruments to implement the network function of intelligent instrument. And on the basis of the goal above, a monitoring system based on IPv6 network instrument is designed.The system consists of network controller and monitoring management software. The network controller combines with the intelligent flux instrument to make up of the network instrument based on IPv6 and its main function is to work as the interface of IPv6 of the network instrument. In the hardware design, the micro-processor applying ARM7TDMI core as its CPU is used and a kind of IPv6 protocol, which is suitable to be used in network instrument and embedded equipment, is implemented as well as Web Server. The monitoring management software, which adopts advanced programming language of VC++, performs the function of data collection, exchange, disposal, query and report printing and so on.The paper involves multiple techniques of computer application, ARM MCU, IPv6 protocol and so on. The innovation and key problem of this thesis is to implement Embedded Internet (EI) and IPv6 in normal CPU. A kind of transplanted IPv6 protocol and a set of Embedded Internet private interface protocols are designed. On the base above a network controller, which has the function of embedded Web Server and API interface is developed to realize network instrument and IPv6 connecting function. Over all the paper has referenced value to research on IPv6 technique used in network instrument, embedded equipment and remote monitoring.In this paper an IPv6 experimental network consisting of routers of Hua Wei's Quidway AR28-31 is constructed. Network instrment has been debugged and perfomed well on this experimental network.
