Precision part auto-feeding mechanism design and simulation are important problems in high speed auto-assembly of complex electron-mechanism product. In this thesis clamp feeding mechanism design and a filter deformation simulation in micro hard disk driver assembly are researched, a feeding system is developed based on requirement analysis, concept design, structure parameter design and deformation simulation. Firstly a technique parameter and a feasible concept design scheme of the assembly station are determined according to the technique requirement and the practice investigation data of the product line. The feeding system are divided into several modules, include material box or carrier, pneumatic separating and suction mechanism, transmission mechanism and localization mechanism. The concept design schemes of these modules are presented. Then the whole feeding mechanism scheme is determined. In the development of clamp feeding system, we focused on the structure parameter design of the clamp feeding system. Based on the analysis of clamp pneumatic suction process, the pneumatic suction force of the pneumatic suction mechanism is computed. The spring type is selected. The location adjusting mechanism of clamp is researched, and the related sensor, cylinder and stepping motor type are selected. The control system scheme of the clamp feeding mechanism is designed also. The filter assembly is a quasi-static assembly process of linear deformable objects. The deformation simulation of the filter acted by the force of a jig is researched. The geometric shape, deformation behavior description, energy equation and constraint equation of the filter is constructed. Finally the deformed shape of the filter in the action of the jig is computed with the Ritz's method. According to the requirement of practice production, the precision part feeding system design and part mechanics behavior simulation is researched systematically. The result is valuable for the feeding mechanism design and development of the precision election-mechanism product.
