At present, collectivization is a focus question of china's media construction. Compare with newspaper group , broadcasting & TV group and publish group, periodical group is the weakest part both in practice and theoretical research. On the basis of analysing periodical industry's current situation and existing periodical group's management, administrative situation of our country, this thesis does a more systematic research about these questions: why should we build periodical group and how to build periodical group etc. Purpose of this thesis is seeking periodical industry's feasible and high-efficient development model under the condition of socialist market economy . This thesis starts with the characteristic of periodical industry, the history of world periodical group and periodical industry of our country. At first, this thesis analyses the necessity, feasibility , mechanism and management mode of periodical group. Then, this thesis regards Zhiyin periodical group as the main research object, combines the characteristic and experience of group's construction of other periodicals, this thesis introduce the management mechanism, operation mechanism, and products running of the periodical group. Especially, the thesis appraises and analyses the " New Weekly " which is a breakthrough try. In addition, in this part, the thesis summarizes characteristics of the existing periodical group from the new angle.Finally, this thesis put forward the question and countermeasure in periodical group construction from such respects as management system, modern enterprise system, plural management and capital operation, etc. And in the conclusion, the thesis proposed that only the periodical with certain condition and strength could set up the group. Different kinds of periodical should take different roads.
