Study On The Construction And Application Of Knowledge Organization Of Knowledge Base Of Specialized Discipline And Subject

Today, information grows extremely rapidly. Knowledge is overwhelmed by immense information. This situation leads to tremendous difficulty in organizing and using knowledge. Therefore, how to identify knowledge resources and organize knowledge in our society becomes an important issue.Herein, I first outlined the concept, classification of knowledge in Knowledge Base and logical structure of Knowledge Base System. Afterwards, I explored how to utilize the current classification and glossary in the Knowledge Base System to construct Ontology, construct knowledge organization model based on Ontology and achieve the model using XML Language. Finally, an example was given to demonstrate its practicability.This thesis is divided into five sections:First, I summarized the definition of knowledge and Knowledge Base, meanwhile, discussed the difference between Knowledge Base and Date Base; eventually, I explored the development of knowledge organization and study in library science.In the second section, I first mentioned the background of production of Knowledge Base of specialized discipline and subject, then expatiated the concept of this kind of Knowledge Base and procedure how to construct it.In the following section, I first introduced the concept of knowledge organization of Knowledge Base of specialized discipline and subject; then I deciphered in detain how to utilize current classification and glossary in Knowledge Base System to construct Ontology, how to construct knowledge organization model based on Ontology and how to achieve this model utilizing XML Language, etal.In the fourth section, I further described construction process of knowledge organization model through a practical example, in which ChangJiang Resource Knowledge Base System was designed. This example demonstrated the practicability of the above mentioned theory.I briefly summarized both the innovative and weak points of this study and pointed out the direction for the future studies in the fifth section.
