System simulation is a powerful tool for the analysis, design and research of complex systems. In this thesis, the design and development of real-time computer simulation system for continuous system is discussed.This simulation system is made up of one computer, which can be linked real objects or simulation computers by signal cables. If real objects or simulation computers simulate the controller object, this simulation system simulates the controlled object, and vice versa. The signal cables send and receive the analog signals, which called simulation data, by the signal interface boards. The system simulates real control process and environments, and carries out simulations in many control loops. This system has such characteristics: can accomplish simulating general continuous system and the bias is acceptable, can accomplish pure numeric simulation and half real objects simulation, that is, the system can be connected with real object or not, close to real process of producing and locale industry control system, can be extended easily because of being designed according to Object Oriented method.Some basic concepts are introduced briefly in the thesis, such as the concept and using of simulation and the character of simulation facing object. By analyzing the characteristics of some simulation systems, the necessity and practicability of developing this system are proved. In hardware, the config of hardware is introduced .particularly. In software, the most important contents include simulation algorithms, establishment, management and analysis of models. These problems are discussed in detail. At the end of the thesis, some examples are presented to verify the practicability of this simulation system.
