Data parallel computing has been a significant role widely applied in the important area of meteorology, geology, national defense, etc., and it is crucial to raise the comprehensive national strength for accelerating the research on this computing. Therefore, this paper is concerned with the simulation of data parallel computing on PC in detail.The research and design of simulative integrated development environment (IDE) is based on LS-SIMD mesh-connected computer (MCC) as object and MIDDLE language as tool, and aims to make PC simulate a LS-SIMD computer to run MIDDLE program of data parallel computing.Firstly, The architecture of SIMD MCC is investigated in this paper. Then the mathematical model is abstracted. Based on it, a highly compatible class of SIMD-MCC simulator is derived by Object-Oriented Design.Secondly, the grammar of MIDDLE is methodically described and a front-end complier for MDDLE is completed. After in-depth study on the auto-construction technology of compliers, a method is presented that the complier capture the lexical, syntax and semantic errors from source codes by setting up three classes of error traps in advance, to report the sort of the errors more exactly, compile part fault-tolerantly and reduce the ascending series errors.In the end, the overall design of this simulative IDE is discussed. This IDE integrates the function of editor, compiler, project manager, linker, simulator debugger etc. With this IDE, a sorting algorithm with the method of Even-Odd transpositions based on the structure of LS SIMD Computer is researched.
