The technique of oil-water interface examination has always been a critical and extremely complex problem during the crude oil production in the oil field, especially in the aspect of sensor design. Because of the complexity of oil-water interface in the oil-water separation can, it is difficult to achieve the ideal examination precision, which this disquisition is precisely in view of. In this system, the author has made the bold improvement in the sensor design, and has introduced the computer control technology to the system, both which constitutes the system of oil-water interface examination and control.Firstly, this disquisition has carried on the brief introduction to the background of the oil-water interface examination technology as well as the development domestic and foreign, and has elaborated the research content of the topic.Secondly, after introducing the main frame of the topic, this disquisition introduced the three modules of this topic in detail: the slave module which consists of sensor, examination circuit and MCU; the RS-485 communication module; the master module which was in charge of data processing, data store and data presentation. The main content of these three modules includes: in the slave module, in the foundation of traditional capacitance sensor, has independently designed a kind of sectional type capacitance sensor and a simple practical capacitance examination circuit, using the AT89C52 MCU has completed the examination to the capacitance sensor through the A/D converter and the control to other auxiliary equipment like valves and flowmeters; in the communication module, using the AT89C52 MCU and the PC(personal computer), has completed the multiple computer communication through RS-485 serial port communication method; in the master module, has completed the operation including data processing ,data store and data presentation to the data which was transferred from slave module, and also has designed and completed a person-computer communication interface. All of the work in the master module is achieved through Visual C++ and MySQL database.Finally, the test through the examples to this topic has showed that the system could obtain satisfactory results.The characteristic of this paper includes the adoption of the sectional type capacitance sensor, the design of the simple practical capacitance examination circuit, and the application that introduced the remote monitoring technology by computer into the crude oil productionin the oil field. All of the works this paper has done is to propose a solution to the difficult problem of oil-water interface examination.
