Research Of New Type Capacitance Sensor And Its Application

The requirement of automation in paper making industry has rose greatly more and more in our country. The dynamic measurement on-line of paper thickness is an important portion for controlling the quality of products. All equipments whether they are made in china or in foreign countries have some kind of defects. Therefore, to develop a kind of new instrument for dynamic measurement on-line of paper will greatly improve the labor productivity and the quality of products, and the economic benefit will increase apparently.In this paper, some kinds of measurement method are compared, a new dynamic thickness measurement on-line instrument based on the new type of capacitance sensor with five boards is designed, and it can be used to replace the traditional P -ray thickness measurement instrument. This kind of instrument can be used for all kinds of filmy nonmetal materials, and it can achieve the function of dynamic itinerant measurement of multipoint. The sensor is matched with amplitude modulation operation measurement circuit, and relevant anti-jamming step is adopted. The sensor's resolving power is up to lg/m2 or 1 v m.The instrument adopts 80C196KC microcontroller to fulfill intelligentized requirement. The theme introduces the structure of systemic hardware and software, and the method of communication with personal computer. It also elucidates the software method of intelligentizing in detail.On the basis of performance of instrument's statistic test has been taken on simulated test system, and the instrument's dynamic target are determined.This theme also introduces the new way of designing virtual instrument withLab VIEW. Thus expands the ideas of designing instrument.In a word, this paper achieve the design and making of new thickness measurement instrument based on capacitance sensor both in theory and practice. The experimental datum are acquired , and the target of design is fulfilled.
