The Design And Implementation Of The Tube PDM System Based On SmarTeam

PDM, gained rapid development from early days of 1990s, is a new technology. It is one of the most important stages to the construction of enterprise information, which not only being used in the management of documents, product structure and work flow, but also providing parallelism system working environment of the products design and manufacture for enterprises. Along with the application and popularization of CIMS project and parallelism project, PDM has been accepted by most of manufacture enterprises and entered execution appliance phase. PDM products bring effect for enterprises depending on the points of how to constitute enterprise PDM system structure by scientific actualizing method; how to set up enterprise information model; how to extend enterprise individuation requirements etc.Under the application background of the tube products design of Aerosun Metal Hose Division, and basing on the theory and technology of PDM, using scientific implement method from the characteristic of tube industry, the mainframe of the tube PDM system based on SmarTeam was proposed, the system data model was built, SmarTeam PDM system function and model extending are realized, as well as the document management, the product structure management, the work flow management and system integration are accomplished. The system which been widely applied in Aerosun Metal Hose Division has realized effective management of the design process, product data and workflow.
