Because of expensive cost of a space-borne SAR and the launch of satellite, it is impossible to debug space-borne SAR by launching satellite for many times. It is essential to be highly reliable and safe for a SAR system. It is important to synthetically test the overall SAR system on the ground. The ground testing apparatus of space-borne SAR data-forming equipment is a key testing apparatus and has important practical value.The thesis presents the study on design, implementation of the ground testing apparatus of space-borne SAR data-forming equipment. The testing apparatus has five modules including ancillary data and signals generating module, remote controlling and monitoring module, data transmitting, recording and displaying module, I/Q radar chirp signal source and Gauss random noise source.According the demands of testing system, the design and implementation of the ground testing apparatus of data-forming equipment are discussed. Most modules of the testing apparatus have been completed and the testing apparatus has been applied in practice.The thesis presents the hardware design, software design and functions of the ground testing apparatus of space-borne SAR data-forming equipment in detail.The innovations of this thesis are as follows: design and implementation of the ground testing apparatus of space-borne SAR data-forming equipment including hardware and software, providing a method of generating high precise digital Gauss white noise based on chaotic mapping.
