In modern electronic facilities of military system, software become core products that to be used more and more popular. According to the increment of the using of software, system is highly depends on the software, thus, the demands of software quality, especially it's reliability booms up. China has made a set of standards for the quality evaluation of military software products. The evaluation center of East China computation institute has a lot of experience for evaluating the military software, and set up a mature evaluation model of military software quality, based on the methodology of the model, the author tries to choose the suitable metrics, deriving from these metrics, it comes out a baseline for the evaluation of the software quality, more over, an applicable evaluation system for the military software quality is then to be developed.In the article, the author firstly analyze the characteristics of the military software and the problems for evaluating the military software quality. Secondly, according to the real quality demands for the military software, due to the software life cycle, as well as various characteristics in different developing phases of the military software, especially depending on ISO/IEC 9126 series and GB series, the standard of software reliability and security design, it makes a realistic minim metrics, by quantizing these minim metrics. Lastly, develop an evaluation system for the military software quality.Running on the evaluation center of East China computation institute, it shows that the system can take non-stop assessing for the software quality during development, reveal current state of the software quality, predict the tendency of the software quality, provide a quantifying management discipline and complement evaluation approach of software quality for users, developers and reviewers, thus assure the quality of the end software products.
