This paper researches the principles, crucial technologies and realization of network instrument based on VS. NET, which offers a kind of new method that can build network instrument. In this paper a network instrument model has been designed for designing and building the network instrument. It has extensive application prospect in long-range measure and control, long-range inspection, long-range virtual laboratory. The following problems have been researched and experimented and solved. The constructions have been developed for network instrument system on VS. NET. The principles and realization methods have been researched which control instrument and issue information using IE browser. The virtual instrument component has been designed. The test data, test curve and instrument working state of real time are carried out development to show on the virtual instrument soft faceplate pass through long-range network communication. The hardware system of network instrument has been designed, which drives bottom I/O and controls external equipment pass through long-range network, the multi-task and multiprocess of the system has been satisfied. This paper researches the file system of test data and network database technology for the network instrument, the file operation and database application of the network instrument have realized. A network instrument model has been built on VS. NET. On which the automatic measure and control information issue have been developed via Internet for network instrument application.
