The Research On Software Reliability Model And Used In Communication Software

As the information is becoming more and more important in the society, the daily working of the society is more depending on the software system than before. It require higher and higher to the reliability of this kind of system. Communication system require real-time, high-efficient reliable and stability generally. That is to say, it can offer the reliable communication service continuously and reliability is a more important factor. Especially hardware reliability level has been improved day by day;software reliability has become a question that can't be ignored.In the study of the software reliability, a lot of software reliability model have been built. Most of them are deducible model;these models have described the reliability of the software to a certain extent, but there is limitation and no model can be suitable for extensive application with better precision so far. The researchers still study the model of the software reliability.This paper get rid of the constraint of reliability deduction modeling of the traditional software models, using exponential smoothing technique in series analysis carry on modeling to the software reliability. The principle and prediction method of exponential smoothing technique have been explained detailedly. And improve the exponential smoothing model progressively, from the single exponential smoothing model to the double exponential smoothing model. Considering the characteristic of the communication software system, the double exponential smoothing model with adaptive smooth coefficient has been put forward. The model not only predict directly but also is used as a compensate mode of the traditional software reliability model increasing the prediction ability of model.Based on the probing of theories, this paper applies the improved model to the real failure data of software, compare with the prediction result of other models and prove its prediction result in software reliability prediction.
