Laer-diode-pumped solid-state lasers(DPSL),owing to their advantages such as high efficiency, high beam quality and long lifetime, etc., have been a center of focus in the fields of iatrology, information and so on. All-solid-state red laser has shown broad potential applications in color displays, biomedical. and pumping sources for tunable CnLiSAF lasers. The experimental and theoretical study on laser-diode end-pumped CW Nd:YVO4/LBO intro-cavity frequency-doubled 671nm laser is presented here in this dissertation.1 Review about the progressing history of DPSL and the summarization of the up-to-date research about red solid state lasers.2 Analysis about the theory of frequency-doubled red laser and the particular introduction of critical phase- matched and nonlinear characteristics.3 Simple discussion over the thermal effect of laser crystal and the nonlinear crystals and providing some reliable basis for optimization of laser designing.4 Detailed study on LD end-pumped Nd:YVO4/LBO intra-cavity frequency-doubled laser. Obtaining the results of maximum output power of 680mW and the optical conversion efficiency up to 5.7 % on condition that 0.5at% doped Nd:YVO4 and Type I phase- matched LBO...
