The LD pumped state green laser developes very fast in recent years and it plays an important role in material-processing,military field,medical treatment,entertainment and so on.So it is still hot to rearch the lower-cost and powerfur laser.Because of the large excited-emission section and absorption efficiency,The crystal of Nd:YVO4 is used widely in not very high power laser and an CW green laser sidely pumped by LD in one direction on a block of Nd:YVO4 with grazing incidence is realized and analyzed theoretically.The four-energy-level velocity rate equation is illustrated and so is the expression of threshold power.The laser power on the condition of near-threshhold and powerful pumping is estimated.Nonlinear phenomenon is described and the coupling equation is extracted from the transmission equation and the boundray conditions.The principle of phase-matching and the technology of single-axis and double axises phase-matching as well as the phase matching width is introduced;The main features and optical properties of Nd:YVO4 and KTP are given.By designing an suitable collimating system, the LD beam is re-shaped and the distribution of temperature in crystal is discussed.An CW green laser sidely pumped by LD on a block of Nd:YVO4 comes ture by select a reasonable oscillator. and the research on the relation between basic frequency out-put power and current with different pumping facula is done.The cause of reducing the out-power is analyzed, then some new methods are displayed to get a higher out power.
