Due to the decreasing water resource, the increasing number of countries began to care about the protection of the water resource. The pipeline being the major role of the city's water supply, its quality becomes an increasingly important issue. However, pipeline accidents have frequently occurred over the years, especially the more seriously intended mangle which has caused huge waste of the water resource. Thus a kind of measurement is needed urgently which can not only inspect the mangle of the pipeline, but also detect the water leak location in buried pipelines.Aiming at the research actuality inland and overseas in the real time detection of the water leakage from buried pipelines, the system brings forward acoustic emission measurement detecting the mangle signal. According to all sorts of character in buried pipelines, the system puts forward the acoustic sensors fuse to detect the mangle of the pipelines based on analyzing the acoustic emission development, and then makes sure the feasibility of acoustic sensors fuse detecting the mangle of the pipelines based on analyzing the transmission principle of the acoustic signal caused by the mangle of the pipelines in theory.The success in designing and developing the detecting system and in developing various experiments validates the feasibility of acoustic sensors fusion detecting the mangle of the pipelines in truth. The main works and innovative methods are listed as follows:(1) Bring forward the possibility of making use of the acoustic sensors fuse to detect the mangle of the pipelines, and then make sure the feasibility of acoustic sensors fuse detecting the mangle of the pipelines based on analyzing the transmission principle of the acoustic signal caused by the mangle of the pipelines in theory. Finally choose the type of the sensors according to the above result.(2) In the course of designing the general blue print of the detecting system, the frame is adopted that in the part of the collection the DSP structure such as TMS320VC5509 is used and in the part of the supper manage interface virtual instrument is employed.(3) Develop the DSP collection cell based on the kernel of TMS320VC5509, which mainly adopts the mixed structure of CPLD+DSP to design the kernel, and controls the storage of the kernel by the CPLD.(4) Design the consumer interface of the supper manage interface based on the virtual instrument. The process of the designing the interface becomes simpler owing to the virtual instrument which resorts to the advantage of LabVIEW, including lots of ready signal process modules. The methods make the system like a duck to water in eliminating the noise and classifying the signal.
