A Research On Fault Injection Testing Tool For Web Service Under SOA Architecture

Accompanying the rising of Web Service, Service Objected Architecture is put forward, it provides a component architecture which supports heterogeneous platform and Multilanguage for distribute computing on Internet. SOA emphasizes the interoperation of Web Services, However, the interoperation of Web Services may induce the fault of message and communication. Therefore how to test the relation of interaction between Web Services, it is very important to test the Web Service software as a whole.This dissertation have researched testing the interaction robustness of each Web Services under SOA based on fault injection technology, The main tasks achieved are listed as follows:1 .The related concept, technology and architecture of SOA and Web Service were researched, and the testing methods based on Fault Injection technology were analysied.2. Researched on the characteristic of Web Services interaction, a kind of Fault Injection testing method that was used to test the Web Services' interaction robustness was put forward. Then based on the analysis of the fault type of Web Service in detail, an extended fault model for the communication fault of Web Services' interaction was put forward. And test cases were established on the testing method and the model above-mentioned.3. FIT4SOA, a Fault Injection testing tool, was designed for Web Services' message interaction robustness under SOA. And its validity was testified by experiments at the end of the present thesis.
