Research On Measurement Of Moving Images Based On Video And Method Of Sense

It is the most efficient way of acquiring exoteric world knowledge by vision, which not only includes abundant information but also is strongly intuitionistic. The measurement based on video is a kind of image processing technology which integrates the image and computer recognition. It gains the 3-D scene information by processing and analyzing the acquired 2-D image and finally achieve the aim of measurement.The research of the thesis is the application of measurement based on video to measurements of vehicles' dimensions. First, we introduce the significance and the developmental status of the thesis, then analyze the technology if image processing and stereovision which gets 3-D scene points from 2-D image points. We study the method of the thesis in detail, which includes edge detecting, binocular vision, stereo matching, calibration. Otherwise, we study the method of vehicle license plate localization and estimating vehicles' appearance. Finally, we get and analysis the result of experiment, and summarize the finished study and subsequent work.
