Olympics Competition Management System(OCMS) mainly charges organizing, scheduling and executing sport tournaments business in Olympics, which is the key tonormal running of sport tournaments in Olympics. As one of the technology supportsby which the Olympics of science and technology is held successfully, the systemfully shows the idea of Beijing 2008 Numeric Olympics. The research results on itwill supply the references to internal or external great integrated sport gamesmanagement system. In this thesis, we expatiate on the methods for analyzing and designing thesystem, and state the key techniques of the system in detail.Because the system involves wide aspects in this thesis, it needs us to understandsystem requirements by using various ways and sides. Therefore, we build prototypesystem to acquire system requirements. At the phase of system requirements analysis,we adopt the method of structured analysis to specialize the system requirementsgradually from top to bottom by using data flow diagram. At the phase of systemdesign, we decompose the system into several subsystems to design singly accordingto different functions on it, which communicate with each other through interface call.In the system implementation framework, we well utilize the object-oriented andsoftware-reusing techniques to draw out the common components of all subsystems, which are used in each subsystem. We deeply study the key techniques of the system, and then get the satisfyingresults through studying. They are involved in three aspects including the knowledgerepresentation, general model of competition rules and competition schedulingalgorithm. For the knowledge representation, the classification method of the events, the representation of reuse condition of the gym and the representation of constraintsare the basis of research on the system. The exact degree of the knowledgerepresentation will directly affect design and realization of the system. The generalmodel of competition rule well resolves the problem of various competition rulessetting of all events in Olympics, which is the kernel of the system. It is also atremendous character which distinguishes the system from other great integrated sportgames management system. Considering the problem of competition scheduling inOlympics, at present, we use two-step scheduling algorithm to resolve it. Thisalgorithm divides into two steps to arrange the events, which decreases the difficultyof one-step scheduling, effectively resolves the problem of the competitionscheduling in Olympics.
