The traditional coal transfer and preparation system is a half-automation system, based on relay and manual work. The environment of the coal transfer system is so execrable, the environment is extremely bad. It often breaks down like belt slide, belt rend and so on. In order to guarantee the industrial used coal, coal preparation and transfer system must always be in good condition. With the rapid expansion of demand for coal, coal preparation and transfer system played an increasingly prominent role, and traditional coal washing and transfer system are unable to meet the needs, and should be innovated.Along with the technical development of control, computer, communication and network, the exchange of information communication domain rapidly is covering from the factory scene equipment level to the control, management each level, covers from the construction section, the workshop, the factory, the enterprise and even the world each place market. The information technology rapid development, has caused the automated system structure reform, forms gradually the enterprise information system, taking the network integration automated system as the foundation. The field bus is the new technology compling with this situation develops, has formed the field bus control system, which has the open style, the entire distribution, may be mutually operational and characteristic and so on scene environment compatibility, compling with the control network development request, and further impelled the establishment of enterprise information system. It integrates the computer technology, the information technology and the automatic technology, becomes another important tendency of the industrial automation development.This paper introduces the topic's background, research content and significance;and then introduces the field bus technology, PLC and the configuration software. Unifies the scene actual situation to design the system overall design plan, uses German Siemens Corporation S7-300 series PLC, utilizes STEP7 programming software which matched with it, uses the STL and the LAD design program, could be reliable, accurately complete the control operation, the real-time monitor and recordthe process movement condition, and could promptly make the response to each kind which appeared to the scene arise suddenly the event, realizes the completely automatic monitoring to the entire wrap production, the preparation, the centralism and the traditional coal system, thus enhanced the equipment movement the reliability and the automaticity. At the same time utilizes the configuration software WinCC of the Siemens Corporation design the supervisory system, recording and the monitoring the field data real-time, and realizing the records inquiry, reports to the alarm, redundancy and network issue and so on.
