The Distributing & Replicating & Location Of Data In A Large-Scaled Distributed Environment

The area of our country is wild and the population is large, the problem of the large-scaled distributing computer application arises. The imbalance of area economic development results in the different information level in different area, and cause the large amount of information island nation-wild at the same time .in large-scaled distributing environment, especially when some parts of the network is occasionally connected, theoretical problems and practical ones in the distribution or visiting of data arises, this article presents the preliminary research in the replication and the locating of distributing objects in the typical hierarchical distributing model .This project is funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.The population management system of china presents hierarchical distributes objects architecture from the aspect of area division and architecture division. So when wo are dealing with the population information system, wo define the typical hierarchical distributing model for it. In this model, there is only one root node and no circles, and each node in it is endued with some function, such as Replicating , Locating , fractional replication and cascading replication etc.Besides, considering the wild-area heterogeneous environment (heterogeneous computing resource and heterogeneous data resource) we faces in the computer application area, so we decide to introduce information grid technology to accessing all kinds of resource, including computing resource and data resource. In this way, we aimed to erase the information island and resource island. This project can achieve the character of distributing , heterogeneous , collaboration in our national population information system.This project replicates large amount of population data from the lower institution to the data server in charged by public security authority of the province. At the same time we provide the same Webservice interface to customers at the province level. Considering the easy use of the open-source software, we adopt Globus Toolkit 4.0 as the grid information middleware ,which answers for the resourcediscovering ..resource managing , data managing ,security , communicating, error detecting etc. Also the grid information middleware is in charge of handling the request from the customers and return the handling result to users.
