With fast development of information technology, enterprise information system has made great progress.The enterprise information system is not applied to single computer or simple Browser/Server application, but gradually developed to the three or multi-tier architecture.Object-Oriented technology depends on specific programming language, so it just can be reused on source code. However, without depending on specific programming language, the component-based technology greatly improves the reusability and expansibility of model in application system.Component-based software can be easily embedded the third party components, most of which are applied successfully in security, so the enterprise can not only reduce the development cost, but also enhance the security and reliability of software, and the company can integrate and assemble the software. In this way, component-based technology provides a great idea for the development of application program.In this thesis, based on component technology on .NET platform, the contract management system of a IT company is taken as an application example, and an enterprise application system is accomplished. The main contents are shown as follows:(1) Introduce the concept of component technology, and the current research state including its features and development trend.(2) Discuss the principles and features of component, and give the comparison between the three different popular component platforms including Microsoft .NET platform, J2EE from SUN and CORBA from OMG(3) Choose Microsoft .NET framework as a developing platform. After introducing the core conception of .NET framework, analyze how to develop and apply the .NET component, and discuss transferring between .NET components and COM components.(4) According to software engineering method, component-based system building process is presented in detail. Six different tiers which are Business LogicLayer, Configuration layer, Data Model Layer, Database Layer, Utility layer and Web Layer are introduced. Finally, the component technology and the trend of component-base developing technology are issued.
