Monitoring Video System has been existed for a long time, hardly with the advent of TV. At Present, with the development of science and technology, it has come into a brand new booming age : Embedded video monitoring service system based on networking. It is mainly built on embedded system technology as well as some other new technologies. Among them, embedded OS is one of the core technologies, And Embedded Linux System has been the research focus in the recent years.Firstly, this paper introduces the data of video and gradually I expatiate on the whole structure of the system of video monitor. Secondly, I write definitely about the design of software and hardware. Most importantly, I research the technology of network in detail and write down it carefully.This Paper analyzed uClinux's application in monitoring video system, which is a big branch of embedded Linux system. Researched and solved many Problems, which are often encountered in its application. Designed and implemented a monitoringvideo system, which mainly included two Parts : hardware and software. The hardware is based on S3C44B0X CPU, and software is based on uClinux. In this system I use the Blackfin BF533 DSP to dispose of the data of video. The DSP sends the code of MPEG-4 to ARM S3C44B0X CPU to meet the requirement of the whole monitoring system.In this dissertation, an Embedded Video Monitoring System Based on Network is proposed as well as designed. This system is developed based on high performance embedded processor and DSP processor. The MPEG-4 technology, embedded uClinux and stream media technology are used in designing the system. Though this system, we can do video monitoring over the network.At last, an experiment about this video monitoring system was held in the laboratory. It succeeded in monitoring TCP/IP protocol and running application program.Along with the development of the embedded system, the embedded video monitoring system based on network will have a great future. This design offer a kind of video monitoring system which is effective and costs less money.
