The optimization or storage space is a way that enables to reduce the work time and enhance the work efficiency on the basis of existing resources by placing the order or space of the depositing goods. The author divides the goods area of the whole warehouse into a number of storage spaces, then give a serial number to each storage space, such storage space is called the actual storage space;According to the deposit or withdraw convenient degree of the storage space and the distance from the place to the exit give the storage space another number, such number is called the dummy storage space. Considering the actual storage place and the dummy storage place together we deposit the goods to the right place according to the frequency of the goods flux. The main contents including:(1) The related questions involved in the optimization process of Automated Storage and Retrieval System. Such as Crane, AGV, Gantry Crane and so on. In the paper we introduce mainly the characteristic, the application as well as the work pattern, analyze the characteristic of the work pattern and the application scope, and point out the optimized goal and significance.(2) The division method of storage space. According to the depositing pattern of goods and the assignment storage strategy of storage space, we design one kind of optimization division method of storage space. The main content is to divide the freight yard into physical district and logical district. The physical district is to divide the storage space without depositing goods according to the freight yard geographical position only considering the factor geographical position. The logical district is to rename the fact goods-placement to the virtual goods-placement according to the priority again, and considering the geographical position at the same time the priority of storage space.(3) The establishment of mathematics models and algorithm realization. Considering the basic objects involving in the optimized process and the character of metal storehouse system, we establish the mathematics models and realize the model solution with the genetic algorithms. The optimization of this system is a multi-objectives optimizations question. We optimize mainly the division of storage space and the way of gantry crane considering the characteristic of the storehouse system depositing production material and the influence degree of the optimized object.Finally the paper carries on the forecast to this optimized research on the basis of summarizing the full text foundation.The paper finally has produced the example. We give the establishment pattern of goods-placement and the management considering the storage space division method and the memory cargo plan. And we carry on the forecast to this optimized research in the full text foundation and bring forward the stress of the future.
