Along with the development of modern logistics technology, Automated Storage/Retrieval System (AS/RS) works as the connection junction and plays as an important role in the modem logistics systems, therefore the quality of scheduling system of AS/RS will not only affect the operating efficiency of AS/RS, but also influence the consistency and rationality of the whole logistics systems. As a result, an investigation on the scheduling system is extremely significance in both theoretical study and practical application. According to presented theory and combined with the result of my investment, some works have been done about the intelligent scheduling of AS/RS in this paper.1. Due to the characteristic of discrete and passive of AS/RS scheduling problem, and together with the theory of advanced Petri Net, Object-Oriented Timed &Colored Petri Net (OOTCPN) has been deduced, moreover, definition and description also represented for OOTCPN. From these theory and information, the modeling method of OOTCPN has been founded, at the same time, the foundation theory of AS/RS scheduling modeling has been built as well.2. Based on the combination of scheduling modeling method and OOTCPN, OOTCPN scheduling model is established for intelligent scheduling system and absolutely Criterion-analyzed. Then, a suitable scheduling arithmetic is designed for that.That build the practice-foundation of AS/RS intelligent scheduling system.3. To optimize stacker's route and the storage area division of ware according to the ware's characteristics, genetic algorithm has been introduced. Further more, the intelligent scheduling system is optimized with expert system.4. The architecture of AS/RS intelligence scheduling system software has been designed with Unified Modeling Language (UML) modeling technique and Rational Rose. Meanwhile, the technique and method are introduced to actualize the intelligent scheduling system.
