Due to the explosive growth of the Internet and increasing demand for multimedia information on the web, streaming video over the Internet has received tremendous attention from academia and industry. How to improve the networks alive and to enhance the quality of video communication, which becomes a challenged and applied valued reseach program.Since transmission of real-time video over network typically has bandwidth, delay, continuity, and loss requirements, furthermore the channel is time-vary and heterogeneity, this thesis investigates several key areas of streaming video during source coding and channel communication. Specially, we focus on video compression, scalable encoding, application-layer transmission and controlling strategy, network protocols for real time streaming video.The main contributions and innovation points of the thesis are as follows:I. I focused on the theories and technologies about the latest video codec standard H.264 and stream media transporting protocols.II. Based on the SP frame code stream switching technology, then, I forward a precept about SP frame intelligent stream files, and describe the process of SP frame switching.III. Video error controlling is one of the most important technology to improve the QoS of video communication. Based the study of the Error concealing technology included by H.264, I applied a frame based on circumjacent matching, which improves the H.264 indicated by test result.IV. I put forward a new QoS dynamic controlling arithmetic to inspect the network based on RTP/RTCP protocols, and then to deal the problems caused by packets loss.V. At the end of the thesis, I designed and realized a real-time video stream transporting project based on DirectShow.
