The thesis firstly summarizes the development status of the distributed system architecture and the distributed object technology CORBA DCOM EJB;Then, the thesis introduces the present mainstream platform of multilayer distributed application, namely Microsoft's .NET;Meanwhile, the thesis analyses the shortage of the CORBA DCOM, EJB, that is, these technologies have great restricts in integrating the data on Internet, and then, the Web Services which are referred make the application mutually operate through different operation systems program languages object models. The thesis also introduces the architecture of Web Services, and essential technology-XML SOAP WSDL UDDI in detail. Finally, applying the above theory, the thesis designs a new method based on Web Services for the "Chinese graduate student website" on the basic of the traditional method ofdistributed system. The thesis also analyses the function of "Chinese graduate student website", designs the key tables of database, and makes the application system come true.Security is very important in web application, so the thesis lastly introduces the secure method from these aspects of management operation system IIS application system.
