The research and realization of quality of service in wireless local area network is the key technology of commercial WLAN access point production. And it is also the important criterion to support real time multi-media service or not.The protocol 802.11e is approved by IEEE in the early of this year. By analyzing the IEEE 802.11 MAC layer protocol and IEEE 802.11e protocol, this paper puts forward two ways to realize the WLAN downlink QoS based the fact that most of the current WLAN terminals don't support QoS service and gives their realization. These two ways not only deal with the WLAN QoS problem, but also makes the WLAN QoS frame not lose while they pass through the Ether network. The characters of these two ways of realizing WLAN QoS are flexible and easy to use and that they are the foundation to realizing the full WLAN QoS function.These two ways of realying the WLAN downlink QoS have been realized in the access point production successfully. The production also has been on commercial successfully. |
