With the development of science and technology, human-computer interaction (HCI) becomes more and more important. It affects people's work efficiency and quality of life. As a crucial aspect of man-machine engineering, HCI and human-machine interface (HMI) are used in many electronic products. Some of these products are the operational interface of information products, such as mobile phone, PDA, MP3 player etc. Others of them are the interface of software including website interface.However, the study of HCI and HMI didn't keep up with the development of information and software. It attributes to traditional software engineers who lack training about design of HCI and HMI. As a result, though some software achieves function, they are short of usability, aesthetic feeling, fault tolerance and learnability. HCI and HMI of software are studied in this thesis. Typical models and theory of HCI are studied to discuss key question. So new ideas and contributions are summarized as follow:1) Task-oriented architecture of HCI: Task-oriented multi-agent architecture (TOMAA) is put forward. This architecture combines with the idea of task-oriented, added by strong semantic feedback and information integration of interactive modal. It uses many PAC agents that can run independently and deal with affair concurrently.2) Task-oriented behavioral model: Advantage and disadvantage of behavioral model of HMI are analyzed. HEIS model which adopts ideas of task-oriented and hiberarchy is put forward. The model supports abnormal error handling. By comparing HEIS model with existed model, advantages of HEIS model are clarified.3) The application in software: Above architecture and model are applied in project in which the author joins. The project, named Software and Industry Plat of Architecture Structure Dynamical Design, which is contributed by information industry development fund. Many designs of HCI of NAP software are finished successfully.4) Assessment method of HCI system: By studying assessment methods of HCI, multiobjective decision-making method is described. The method is used in evaluation of NAP software. So more exact quantitative assessment is actualized.
