Mechanical fault diagnosis technology mainly researches on working conditionand identifies abnormal states of the equipments in order to detect potential fault andpredict the fault trend. In these days, fault diagnosis technology has developed rapidly,but in our country, monitoring ways of the train's bearing fall behind. It is soimportant and necessary to develop an economical and available system to insure thesafety of running trains and passengers.Based on the theories and studies of real-time monitoring and fault diagnosis,this paper focuses on rolling element bearings of train. Also train's fault diagnosis andreal-time monitoring system, information integrated technology and other relatedproblems will be further discussed in the paper. Besides that, the paper will developfrom specific study of single model and object to the realization of system architectureand function modules of bearing's fault diagnosis devices. It includes:(1) As to fault information of rolling element bearings, this paper has studiedand discussed fault mechanism and fault signal detection of rolling elementbearings, compared with some fault diagnosis methods and designed afeasible fault diagnosis project. This project detects periodic signature ofimpact signal by using resonance demodulation technology, frequencyspectrum analysis of vibration signal and temperature measurement methodof bearings. It also further studies the detection principles and results.(2) Design monitoring system architecture and develop specific functionmodules.(3) Adopt advanced DSP to run the program of FFT, and improve real-timerespond of the system.(4) Design software and hardware circuit of real-time monitoring system forbearing with defects.(5) Present new communication proposal between monitoring system andadvanced PC.
