Research Of The Engineering Management System

Engineering management is the central part of engineering building informationmanagement in our country. With the developing of management system reform, themodel of engineering management is challenged. The more the need of buildingvocation is, the heavier the task of engineering management is. It is not satisfy theneeds of the rapidly developing of needs of management system, in sides ofengineering management such as bid, design, purchase etc. The question ofengineering management faced is how to improve work's efficiency, the science ofdecision, the transparent of engineering management using modem tools andtechnology. With the rapidly developing of computer technology, especially Internettechnology, it becomes the main means for civicism vocation to improve level ofmanagement using computer, database system, communicated technology to setup thesystem of management information on Internet network. The background databaseserver is Sybase database system V12.5.In the recent years, the management system is based on two architectures: C/Sand B/S architecture based on local network and Internet. In my paper, I analyzed thecharacteristics of the two architectures and using C/S architecture. I have developedthe client and web application program of engineering management system base oncivicism vocation's using Powerbuilder 9.0 development tools and ASP technology.The whole system is has perfect function, operating agility and friendly interface. Aswell as ensuring security and satisfy all the needs of engineering management.
