The Research Of Mobile Location Technology Based On GSM Network

The location service is a very important increment service, with the rapid development of wireless cellular communication technology, the number of mobile stations increases quickly, more and more people pay attention to the location technology in wireless cellular network. Uses the GSM cellular network, we can realizes the low cost, high accuracy mobile location and it has broad application prospect.This paper aims at the research of mobile location technology in the GSM wireless cellular network. After introducing some GSM network knowledge related location, this paper analyzed the domestic and foreign correlations researches, and compared the existing basic location method, and mainly analyzed the E-OTD, a location method based on time-related measurements, and then introduced one kind of new location technology MATRIX E-OTD in this dissertation. This paper analyzed the basic principle, algorithm, characteristic, and the performance of MATRIX E-OTD, and discussed the parameters which influences the accuracy of this location in the GSM network. Based on the above research, we completed a MATRIX E-OTD application platform which is suitable to GSM network, and carried on the test in Sichuan Uniom' s GSM network environment, according to test result, we surveyed and analyzed the factors which influences the accuracy of this location in the existing GSM network, and according the result established the corresponding mathematical model to optimization the location system.
