Wireless Location Algorithms And Their Performance Analysis In Cellular Network

With the rapid development of the communication technology in recent years, especially the wireless cellular mobile communication technology, the mobile users have been increased very rapidly. The key factor of driving the mobile communication technology is the communication quality and the new service. So the wireless cellular mobile communication not only affords the traditional speech communication service but also the new service. The wireless location service is one of the important new services. As a result, the research on location services has been a hot point.The basic principle of the moving location technique and the leading location methods are introduced firstly, and comparing their respective advantages and disadvantages in accuracy, cost etc,the mathematical model of TDOA location algorithms is established.This paper has introduced three location algorithms: Chan algorithm, Taylor algorithm, Fang algorithm. In order to offset the limitation of Chan and Taylor algorithms, the location results of Chan algorithm is used as original value of Taylor algorithm, and the performance of location is improved effectively.The main content of paper is application of genetic algorithm in the wireless cellular location again.The basic principle of genetic algorithm is introduced firstly. Secondly, we establish separately TDOA location algorithm based on genetic algorithm,hybrid TDOA/AOA location algorithm based on genetic algorithm, and hybrid TOA/AOA location algorithm based on genetic algorithm. Then they is put in the same environment of simulation and compare with Fang,Chan and Taylor algorithms. The results show that genetic algorithm can improve effectively the location performance.The main content of paper is wireless location method based on Hybrid GPS/ Cellular-networks. First , the paper introduces the main characteristics of two types of the wireless location techniques based on GPS and cellular mobile communicate on networks are analyzed.Then this paper proposes a hybrid GPS/ Cellular -networks location method, which combines the measured values from GPS and TOA of Cellular-networks,and compensates the weakness of independent GPS and location method based on cellular- networks.The hybrid location method is a high accuracy of location method.
