The accurate acquisition and processing of electric power signal are essential forthe research on various relay protection methods and the analisis of electric energyquality to be conducted in the power system. A DSP-based data acquisition andprocessing system has been designed, and the accurate acquisition of the analog electricsignal, the measurement of the fundamental frequency, the reading and writingoperations for the ferrelectric memory FM25CL64 and the real time monitoring ofoperation conditions of the power system have been realized in this dissertation. Severalalgorithms for calculating the virtual value of the analog quantities are discussedemphatically, with particular attention to the principles of the Fourier algorithm and themid-value filtering algorithm and the method for designing the practical digital filters. Atlast, a great number of tests for each of the virtual value algorithms and the frequencymeasurement methods are performed, and the accuracy of the test-data is evaluated.Theresult indicates that the Fourier algorithm combined with the mid-value filteringalgorithm can reach the highest precision, and accuracies of up to±0.1% for analogquantity measurement and ±0.01Hz for frequency measurement have been achieved,respectively.
