Automatically Switched Optical Network (ASON) is a new generation network, which achieves routing and signal control in automatical switching. It divides the network into 3 planes : the management plane, the control plane and the data plane. It can control the whole network through a independent and unificated control plane .It is a kind of standardized intelligent optical transmission network, and it is thought to be the mainstream technology of next generation network. The General Multi-Protocol Label Switching (GMPLS) is considered to be the mostly according to the demand of control plane in ASON. In GMPLS network, any node can hold the resources condition information of the entire network, and it can also realize IP with GMPLS over DWDM. The fuzzy control makes many parameters which can't be described in precise definition into fuzzification, using the fuzzy definition and fuzzy control rule. And achieves more nimble, and dynamic control than static accuracy control . In this paper, I combined the GMPLS with fuzzy control theory together which called fuzzy logic control (FLC), based on the research of other traffic control algorithm, such as CSPF. This algorithm overcomes the disadvantages of static algorithm , and realizes the function of dynamic traffic control in ASON. The result of simulation in using the software of Matlab indicated that , the FLC algorithm can enhance the rate of resource utilization , reduce the rate of data block,and make the network quality much better. Based on the design and realization of circuit for data collection , I applied the FLC algorithm to optical wavelength router. The result of simulating experiment indicated that the FLC algorithm enhanced the rate of resource utilization and reduced the rate of data block in the optical wavelength router. In addition, the proposed FLC algorithm can achieve the advanced service function in the ASON conveniently, such as Diffserv service, QoS .
