The Research And Implementation Of Software Project Management System Based On Workflow Technology

With the rapid development in IT field, software project is more and more complicated, and software project management should be paid increasingly attention to day by day. Practice proves that the chief factor that determines the success of software development is not technology but project management in it. Software project management is a complicated knowledge with strong practicality. In the process of project management, it's closely related to a lot of factors and needs to be supported by some effective project management tools.The research in this paper focuses on the software project management system based on workflow. Firstly, the relationship between workflow and software project management is analyzed. Secondly, the application of workflow technology in software project management system is researched.According to the software engineering and CMM/CMMI theory, the organizing unified project management flow and management method control to software development process such as landmark goal, task goal etc. are used here. Then a three dimensional model on the software project management is proposed.On the basis of analysis and research, a system structure of project management system based on workflow technology is designed, and the main function modules in it are implemented to implement a flexible and availability software project management system in the end.In practice, this system is used to realize the automation of manage flow in the whole cycle of project management from the project begin to the project end. All tasks or some tasks are defined to a series of flows which explain and execute by workflow, and implement by the concrete definition. Finally, the flows are semi-automatically or automatically finished by the system under the developer's control. When the process need modified among software develop, modify and recombine the process, define and modify forms by the workflow modeling tool, realize logic process separated from logic application business process, needn't modify application program but modify model of process to change the function of system.
