Research And Implementation Of The Key Technology Of Network Computer Based On Embedded Linux

Network computing is a thin client technology in for the environment of wide network computing, which obtain computing and storage resources from the server, sometimes also hold some local computing ability. Network computers take the advantage of central control and easy maintenance, and decrease the total cost . Linux has a stable and efficient kernel, a perfect network and file management mechanism and excellent development tools, which make Linux become the favourite System in the computer scopes, especially in the embedded system scopes. First, the Linux kernel architecture are analysed in the thesis, then analysis the feasibility of embedded Linux used on embedded platform, and designed the architecture of embedded Linux Network Computer. Embedded Linux Network Computer involves many technologies and theories, the key technologies of Network Computer will be analysed in the thesis. Embedded Linux Network Computer is terminal/sever based thin-client solution which integrates embedded Linux in the client and Windows terminal server in the server. Thin client OS uses a tailed Linux, The client remote login application uses RDP protocol to access server's application, and display application window with X window locally. By these works, according with the character of Network computer, design the layer architecture of OS of Network computer, the architecture embrace hardware layer, Hal layer, Kernel layer, API layer etc. therefore, make every part become simpler and reduce the difficult of the development works and increase reusability of the software. According of the layer architecture of OS of embedded Linux Network computer, research the realization of the OS of embedded Linux Network computer. in the end, analysis the application area of Network Computer and example the application in the area of the eGovernment.
