The Study Of J2EE Based Workflow Management System Framework

Workflow technology is a key technology in enterprise business process modeling, simulation, optimization, analysis and design. J2EE is excellent enterprise application architecture. It is secure, highly scaleable, reusable and has a high performance. J2EE based workflow management system is a main solution in the enterprise business application, office automation, and electronic government applications. Based on the theory of workflow and workflow management system, this thesis presents a J2EE based workflow management system model, analyzes and studies the model architecture and its key technology. The main work and achievements are shown as followings: Analyze the workflow, workflow management system technology. Present the J2EE based workflow management model, researches the workflow management system architecture. Analyze the J2EE based enterprise application architecture. Present a J2EE based workflow model. Analyze the model structure. Use an open source workflow engine, OSWorkflow to implements the workflow management model. Uses the standard RBAC (Role Based Access Control) model to implements the workflow management system organization and privilege module. Build a basic class library for the workflow framework. Analyze the model's workflow controls and functions. Research the color UML and its modeling practice. Use a real workflow use case to analyze the color UML modeling works. This thesis use a real workflow management system use case to implements the J2EE based workflow management model. The use case shows that the J2EE based workflow management framework is suitable for the enterprise business process application and is proved to be an excellent application framework.
